 👉 Episode 18:
Learning Medicine is hard and can be made even harder when a global pandemic hits, and won't stop hanging around. With the cancellation of in-class teaching, clinical placements, university social events - it can be hard to stay focused and on top of your studies. The isolating experience of working from home was compounded when we all started studying from home. Without the social interaction and support from peers, without the inperson tutoring and guidance from our teachers, it was tough and has changed the way medicine is taught for good. In this episode of the podcast, Karim and Gabbi chat to Marley who is an MD3 student placed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, all about what it is really like to study Med during a global pandemic. They talk about how they got through it, including Marleys hobby of creating med related Tik Toks! You can follow Marley on Tik Tok here: @marl.eyy

We are about to start our second year of medicine at Melbourne University and we've had different journeys to get to med school. We are all team members at Halad to Health and have a passion for supporting students' journeys through medicine. We've started this season of the podcast to share our experiences of first year and to answer all of the questions we wish we knew the answers to before starting medical school.
